Acuman Criminal Group Surrender to PNP PRO 10
A leader and two other members of the Acuman Criminal Group involved in a series of illegal activities in Bukidnon surrendered to the authorities on March 13, 2023.
PBGEN LAWRENCE B COOP, Regional Director, PRO10 presented the three surrenderees during the Press Conference held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp 1Lt Vicente G Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.
Acuman Criminal Group is involved in illegal activities such as robbery, cattle rustling, highway robbery, and extortion schemes in Bukidnon specifically in Talakag and its adjacent municipalities.
The surrenderees were identified as Dario M. Acuman, leader; Erwin M. Acuman, a.k.a Kapitan; and Ryan T. Acuman, a.k.a Opaw. They are all family related and have existing multiple warrants of arrest for the crimes of Murder, Frustrated Murder, Attempted Murder, and Illegal Possession of High-Powered Firearms and Ammunition. They also surrendered one M16 riffle, one M14 riffle, and one cal. 45 and ammunition.
PBGEN COOP commended the operating units and credited this accomplishment to the community for tipping-off information that was conducted through a series of operations.
“Our efforts have now resulted positively as several members of the criminal gang have surrendered to the folds of law. I commend the PRO10 personnel for doing this job excellently and rest assured that we will be proactive in our intel-driven operation with the active support of the community to attain a progressive place to live, work and invest.” He said. ###

PRO10 Kicks Off the 2023 National Women's Month Celebration
Police Regional Office 10 kicks off the celebration of the 2023 National Women’s Month with the theme: “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” held at the RHQ Grandstand, Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City on March 6, 2023.
The ceremony started with the parading “all-women” battalion led by PLTCOL SARAH JACINTO and was graced by ATTY. MERLYNN BAROLA-UY, Regional Prosecutor, Department of Justice 10 as Guest of Honor and Speaker.
During the activity, PRO10 awarded several female PNP personnel for displaying commendable acts in the performance of their duty.
In her message, Atty. Uy highlighted the elements of the theme and said that the word “WE” stands for Women and Everyone emphasizing the role of women themselves and everyone in the pursuit of gender equality.
She also said that to abandon gender stereotypes, society must achieve a certain level of maturity and be more gender-sensitive in our language and in our dealings with each other to give everyone an equal opportunity not only to survive but to thrive and excel.
“I am very optimistic that we are on our way to becoming a country that does not only value women but more importantly, protects and promotes the role of women and everyone regardless of gender identity and sexual orientation so that we can proudly live up to this month’s sub-theme: #WEcanbeEquALL,” she added. ###

PRO10 Turns Over 12 Units of Patrol Cars to End Users
In line with PNPs capability enhancement program, PRO10 turned over 12 Units of Patrol Jeep 4x2 Single Cab (Toyota Hilux) to end users on Friday at RHQ, Camp 1Lt Vicente G Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.
Around PhP14M worth of Patrol Jeep 4x2 was allotted for the purchase of these 12 units.
The Blessing and Turnover Ceremony was spearheaded by PBGEN LAWRENCE B COOP, Regional Director, together with the members of the Command Group.
The newly issued patrol vehicles were coming from the PNPs Directorate for Logistics and distributed to its end users: Cabanglasan MPS, Sumilao MPS, Baloi MPS, Kapatagan MPS, Pantao Ragat MPS, Tubod MPS, Aloran MPS, Calamba MPS, Ozamis CPS, Kinoguitan MPS, Salay MPS, and El Salvador CPS.
In his message, PBGEN COOP said that the recipients of these vehicles had undergone a selection process of which police stations require transport capabilities.
“These vehicles will be used to support PRO10’s unit troop movement/deployment and other special operations such as Civil Assistance during Civic Actions, Relief and Search and Rescue Operations, Internal Security Operations, and other related incidents.” He said.
He further emphasized that the PNPs success in fulfilling its mandate depends not only on the skills of its personnel but on the quality of mobility and equipment.
“These police mobile assets will certainly boost police patrol and visibility to meet the requirements for greater police presence in the community.” He added. ###
