PRO 10 Beefs-Up Securityy Measures for the Upcoming Labor Day Celebration 2024
Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) gears up to ensure the safety and security of the public during the Labor Day Celebration on May 1, 2024.
PRO10 Regional Director PBGen Ricardo G Layug, Jr. said that PRO10 is set to deploy 2,871 personnel to vital installations where various labor organizations, transport groups, and other civic bodies are expected to hold demonstrations and gatherings.
“PRO10 will mobilize its maximum personnel to safeguard vital installations and maintain peace and order during the Labor Day Celebration. Our primary focus is on ensuring that the rights of all individuals to express their grievances peacefully are respected,” he said.
While there may be any disruptions and hostilities from the lawless elements during the celebration, PBGen Layug Jr. reminded the police officers to strictly adhere to the rule of law, practice maximum tolerance, and respect for human rights.
PRO10 has also undertaken coordination efforts, in collaboration with other government agencies, to guarantee the smooth and successful conduct of the Labor Day Celebration.
“Rest assured that we will intensify our proactive measures to preempt any untoward incident this Labor Day. I would also like to remind the public to be vigilant at all times and immediately report any suspicious activities to the authority,” he said.
As part of its preparations, PRO10 has assembled a Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) contingent to swiftly and effectively manage crowd control in the event of any disturbances. ###

Police Regional Office 10 led by PBGEN RICARDO G LAYUG JR, Regional Director, conducted Monday Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremony today, April 29, 2024, held at the New Grandstand, Camp 1Lt Vicente G Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.
During the awarding ceremony, a "Medalya ng Kagalingan" is awarded to respective personnel who have done commendable acts.

Simultaneous Oath-Taking, Donning, and Pinning of Ranks for Newly Promoted PCOs and PNCOs of PRO 10
The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) conducted a simultaneous oath-taking, donning, and pinning of ranks for 2,088 newly promoted Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) and Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) today, March 25, 2024.
The oath-taking was aligned with the 1st Quarter PLTCOL Continuous Promotion Program and the CY 2023 2nd Level Uniformed Personnel Regular Promotion Program.
