PRO10 Celebrates 31st PNP Ethics Day
Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) marked the start of 2025 with its first Monday Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremony, coinciding with the 31st PNP Ethics Day celebration today, January 6, 2025, at the RHQ Grandstand, Camp 1Lt Vicente G Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City with the theme: “Serbisyong May Integridad at Pananagutan, Tungo sa Ligtas at Mapayapang Pilipinas”.
Highlight of the event was the awarding of PNP personnel who successfully passed the recent BAR examination held on September 8, 11, and 15, 2024, across 13 local testing centers nationwide. The Medalya ng Kasanayan was conferred upon the following individuals:

PRO 10 Personnel Welcome New Year with Surprise Random Drug Testing
Police Regional Office 10, led by PBGEN JAYSEN C DE GUZMAN, Regional Director, after the Daily Personnel Police Accountability Report and initiated a Surprise Random Drug Test at RHQ, Camp Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City, on January 2, 2025.
Republic Act No. 9165, Art. III sec. 36 para (e) or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 provides that officers and employees of public offices shall undergo random drug testing. Also, under CSC Circular No. 13 states that the objective of the random drug testing is to ensure that government agencies remain drug-free.
A total of 953 from COCPO and RHQ personnel, underwent drug testing. This simultaneous surprise drug testing was facilitated by the Regional Forensic Unit 10 and conducted simultaneously in the different Police Provincial Offices and City Police Offices.
PRO10 Deploys Cops Across Northern Mindanao for COC Filing
Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) has deployed 1,152 police personnel across Northern Mindanao to ensure peace and order during the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for the National and Local Elections (NLE) 2025 from October 1 to 8, 2024.
The deployment is part of PRO10's intensified security measures to provide a safe and orderly environment as political aspirants submit their candidacies.
A total of 384 personnel have been deployed as part of the Police Assistance Desks (PADs), stationed strategically at the different areas where COC filings are taking place. In addition, 768 Quick Reaction Team (QRT) personnel will be on standby across the region. They are prepared to respond swiftly to any incidents or security concerns that may arise during the COC filing period.
PBGEN JAYSEN C DE GUZMAN, Acting Regional Director of PRO10, emphasized the importance of maintaining a secure atmosphere during the election process.
“The filing of COC marks the beginning of the election season, and it is crucial that we maintain peace and order to protect the integrity of this democratic process.
Our personnel are fully prepared to ensure that the public and all candidates can exercise their rights safely,” he said.
PRO10 remains committed to upholding security measures throughout the region, working closely with local government units, election authorities, and other law enforcement agencies to safeguard the 2025 Midterm Elections. ###
