𝟏𝟎𝟗 𝐂ops Graduated in 15-Day Enhanced Health and Fitness Program
Police Regional Office 10 conducted the closing ceremony of Batches 10 & 11 of this PRO’s 15-Day Enhanced Health and Fitness Program at RHQ Covered Court, Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City on July 21, 2022.
A total of 109 PNP personnel graduated in the said program under batches 10 and 11, aiming to gain the standard body mass index of the police.
PCOL DANILDO B TUMANDA, Chief of the Regional Staff, reminded the participants that this program is made to help them achieve their standard or acceptable BMI.
“I’m glad that these batches lost weight twice compared to the previous batches. It’s really just a matter of self-discipline, and having discipline in your body—gradually, you will achieve the normal or acceptable body mass index that you wanted.” He said.
PBGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA JR, Regional Director, PRO10 also said that all police officers must adhere to maintain the standard weight or acceptable BMI.
“Everyone should be responsible with their health and body. The tendency if our police are obese, it’s easy for them to get sick. Ginagawa natin itong programa not because for their individual gain but for their families as well.”
“We have a coach for this program who volunteered to teach our personnel about nutrition. Kaya nga po this program is not just all about exercise but it also teaches our personnel how to be healthy conscious. With regard of transferring personnel if an acceptable BMI will not be met, we don’t do that. May tamang proseso sa placement or transfer of personnel po.”
RD ACORDA also stated that this program was designed to ensure that the men and women of PRO10 are fit enough to progress in their career.
Further, the biggest losers for the two batches were PMSg Leoniso Pasa (Batch 10) from the National Support Unit who garnered 13.73 kgs loss and PCpl Vincent Lumayag (Batch 11) from Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office who garnered 12.73 kgs loss. ###

NorMin Top Cop Presides 7th Command Conference
Police Regional Office 10- PBGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA JR, Regional Director, PRO10 presided the 7th Command Conference addressing the actions taken on the guidance of SILG and OIC, PNP at Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City on July 20, 2022.
Provincial and City Directors discussed their measure on the implementation of the campaign against loose firearms, refrain from engaging in any fund-raising activity or the “No Take Policy”, intensification in the campaign of anti-illegal drugs, and other operational accomplishments.
RD ACORDA expressed his thanks to the officers for all the good accomplishments that this PRO has carried out.
“Continue doing what is good for the organization. It’s because of your effort that PRO10 is recognized for having a lot of good accomplishments. Focus in coordinating with your respective Local Government Unit to ensure proper implementation of the guidelines of the OIC, PNP.” He said.
He also directed the officers on the ground to make an effort in so far as protecting the PNP organization against those individuals who throw negative remarks.
“Do not allow yourselves to be used by some people who have bad agenda. Just continue your good work and be the epitome of a public servant who’s proficient and committed in serving people.” He added. ###

PRO 10 Cops Seize More than 1 Million Worth of Shabu
Police Regional Office 10- After a two-month long surveillance, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 10 finally arrested three drug personalities and confiscated an approximately Php 1,020,000 worth of shabu in a drug buy-bust at Zone 1, Canitoan, Cagayan de Oro City on July 8, 2022.
This operation resulted in the arrest of Alejandro Yañez, Cerch Carcosa and Jonalyn Nafarrete, all are residents of Balongis, Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City, and were considered to be High-Value Individuals upon arrest.
Moreover, 14 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastics in different sizes were recovered from the suspects, containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing up to 150 grams.
All suspects are now currently detained at the Maharlika Detention Facility and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
PBGEN BENJAMIN ACORDA JR, PRO 10 Regional Director, commended the operating team and said, “Our PRO 10 cops never end their momentum in pushing themselves to the limits in aiming a drug-free Northern Mindanao. Nevertheless, I cannot disregard the fact that our community has been supportive to our campaign against illegal drugs. This accomplishment only proves that the strongest means in putting an end to this problem is our unity itself.” ###

PRO10 Kicks-Off its 27th Police Community Relations Month Celebration
Camp 1Lt Vicente G Alagar- Police Regional Office 10 kicked-off its 27th Police Community Relations Month Celebration with the theme: “Ugnayang Pulisya at Komunidad Tungo sa Mapayapa, Maayos, at Maunlad na Pamayanan” held at RHQ Grandstand, Camp Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City on July 4, 2022.
The activity was graced by Ms. MARIE ELAINE S. UNCHUAN, Regional Director, Department of Tourism as Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Highlights were the giving of awards to the deserving PNP personnel who were recognized for their commendable acts in the performance of their duty. A Medalya ng Kadakilaan was awarded to 10 PNP personnel, namely: PMAJ IVAN CHARLES F ABASTILLAS; PCPT MARK ALLAN P DUNGCA; PCPT JOEMAR B CALUD; PCPT AIMAN KHUZAIMAH P PANTARAN; PCPT LARSAM H RADJILUL; PCPT JASON D ELEDIA; PCPT JAN WAYNE K PAWINGI; PLT ALBERT KENNETH S ABAO; PLT RODELIO G DIEZ. Four PNP personnel were also awarded with Medalya ng Papuri, namely: PMAJ DENNIS J DANO; PLT MACARIO L LINOG, JR; PSSg Leila P Pacuribot; and PSSg Theresa B Warguez.
Plaques of recognition were also given to the stakeholders for their unwavering support toward PNPs current thrusts and programs: Hon. Alexis S. Quina, Mayor, Balingasag, Misamis Oriental; Hon. Vergito O Factura, Mayor, Talakag Bukidnon; Mr. Cris M. Macapayag, Chairman, Council of Presidents, Region 10 Rotary International Disctrict; Dr. Nathaniel Lawrence P. Medina, General Practitioner, Calamba District Hospital; Kauswagan Volunteer, Cagayan de Oro City; STEAG POWERPLANT, Misamis Oriental; The Moral Recovery Officers Foundation Incorporated and Unified Christian Churches of Mindanao Incorporated; and Bless our COPS Movement.
In her message, RD UNCHUAN said that, “We have to work together always with the common goal in ensuring that the development will surely happen in our region. With a snappy and able local police force, ensuring our peace and order, our tourism becomes a more robust and surely more investors will come in and more job opportunities are there for our Filipinos especially for our Lumads, small businessmen, tourism workers, and all other stakeholders that is geared towards strong economy.”
Further, RD ACORDA implied the importance of community relations between the police and community particularly in crime prevention.
“Ang programang ito ay bahagi pa rin ng ating mandato na maghatid ng serbisyo sa ibat-ibang sulok ng ating pamayanan. Ang layunin din nito ay madama ng komunidad ang presensya at malasakit ng ating gobyerno kahit sa simpleng pamamaraan.” He said.
RD ACORDA further said that the strong participation of the community to the PNP’s thrusts and programs is important as it will be an avenue for us to attain a better community in Northern Mindanao. ###
