PRO10 Holds BIDA Roll-Out in Misamis Oriental
Police Regional Office 10 successfully held the BIDA roll-out and Caravan in relation to PNP KASIMBAYANAN with Atty. Benjamin C. Abalos, Jr., Secretary, DILG at El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental on February 6, 2023.
Various government agencies, advocacy groups, media personalities, and other key sectors joined the activity to support the roll out program.
The activity started with a multi-sectoral convergence through walk, run and bike ride along with the presentation of BIDA mural painting to SILG which were painted by students from El Salvador City Central School. After which a Tae Bo was conducted near the venue.
During the program proper, the host presented the graduates of Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program/Recovery and Wellness Program (CBDRP/RWP). It was then followed by the presentation of Plaque of Recognition to Camiguin Province as drug cleared province while municipalities of Sugbongcogon, Kinoguitan, Naawan and Libertad of Misamis Oriental, Tagoloan and Kauswagan of Lanao del Norte and Pangantucan, Bukidnon were awarded for being drug cleared municipalities of Region 10.
Thereafter, a signing of Memorandum of Understanding and Pledge of Commitment by the SILG, National Government Agencies (NGAs) and KASIMBAYANAN Advocacy Support Groups.
SILG Abalos then presented the cause and effect of illegal drugs and how can it affect to the lives of the community. He also urged the participants to fight along with the government in ending the proliferation of illegal drugs for it only brings harm to the families and community as a whole.
“What I want is for each and every youth here to shepherd your own friends and have that confidence to say ‘No to Drugs’. Habang nanghuhuli ang pulis at NBI sa baba, sa barangay levels may activities, gumagalaw ang DTI, Department of Labors sa trabaho, lahat ng bagay at mga bata, tinuturuan natin sila to say NO, and I tell you walang tatalo sa atin, mananalo tayo laban sa droga,” he said. ###

PNP Chief Paid Respect to Victims of Naawan Road Mishap
PNP Chief General RODOLFO S AZURIN JR., visited the wake of four police officers who died in a vehicular accident on Tuesday at Naawan, Misamis Oriental.
It can be recalled that in the morning of February 11, 2023, a road mishap happened at the National Highway of Brgy., Maputi, Naawan, Misamis Oriental which resulted in the death of seven police officers and two civilians and likewise injured 25 police officers and 3 civilians.
Hence, Chief PNP Azurin together with PMGEN JESUS CAMBAY, JR, TDC, PMGEN RITCHIE MEDARDO A POSADAS, D, NPTI, PBGEN NINO DAVID RABAYA, D, PRBS and PBGEN LAWRENCE B COOP, RD PRO 10 and party paid their respect and handed over financial assistance to some of the families of the victims. They visited the wake of PSSg Marjun Reuyan at Tipanoy, Iligan City; PSMS Eric Generalao at Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte; PSSg Eugene Lagcao at Bacolod, Lanao del Norte; and PSSg Michael Ermac in Iligan City. All families of the victim will receive the same cash assistance and benefits from the PNP.
Meanwhile, the PNP Chief also visited and gave financial assistance to PSSg Jason Pormento, PSSg Peter Paul Llamera, and PSSg Jericho Turtugo who are confined at Adventist Medical Center, Iligan City.
In his statement, PGEN AZURIN assures the family of the victims that the PNP will support any expenses that will be incurred in their operation and medical expenses.
“We can see the effort of the PNP National Leadership with the instruction ng ating Pangulo na si President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos to ensure na maayos ang lahat lalo na ang mga namatay na pulis natin at saka yung pagpapagamot. So, this is part of the program of the President to ensure the benefits and entitlement ng ating kapulisan na matatanggap nila because of the unfortunate incidents,” he said. ###

PRO10 Commemorates the Day of National Rememberance for SAF 44
Police Regional Office 10 commemorated on January 25, 2023 the Day of National Remembrance for the 44 members of the PNP Special Action Force (SAF) who died in the line of duty during a counter terrorism operation conducted exactly eight years ago in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
A solemn ceremony was held at the New Grandstand, RHQ, Camp Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City during which a wreath laying and a 21-gun salute were performed to remember and honor the "SAF 44" whose heroism and gallantry led to the neutralization of the international terrorist identified as Zulkifli Abdhir alias Marwan.
The ceremony also served as a tribute to the other police officers who sacrificed their lives in various anti-criminality operations in the region.
PMGEN ELISEO DC CRUZ, Director for Investigation and Detective Management, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, urged everyone to honor the fallen members of the SAF by remembering and retelling their courage and heroism. He said, "Let us honor them with the stories of courage and heroism that we must tell to the generations to come and let us continue to be inspired by their professionalism to serve the country with utmost dedication and devotion to our sworn duty."
He expressed his appreciation to the men and women of PRO10 for the sincere efforts in providing adequate and appropriate investigative services to the public.
He also congratulated PRO10 for obtaining 95.98% crime clearance efficiency and 72.31% crime solution efficiency and for ranking 4th among the 17 Police Regional Offices in the issuance of NPCS.
He then echoed the message of PGEN RODOLFO S AZURIN JR, Chief, PNP saying, “We will continue to honor their memory and supreme sacrifice as we make sure that their legacy lives on through our actions and dedication to the service. They will always be remembered as true heroes who have given their lives for the service of Filipinos.” ###

APC-EM Commander Visits PRO10 for the Summing-up Activity of R-PSB
PLTGEN FILMORE B ESCOBAL, Commander, Area Police Command – Eastern Mindanao (APC-EM) visited PRO10 for the Summing-Up Activity of the R-PSB (Revitalized- Pulis sa Barangay) held at MPH, Camp Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City on January 20, 2023.
The R-PSB Summing-Up Activity aims to strengthen the implementation of the RPSB program at the target barangays by discussing with the representatives of the DILG, DEP ED, TESDA, DSWD, DOH, and the LGUs of Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon the gaps, issues and concerns relating to the implementation of the program.
During the activity, PCOL DANILDO B TUMANDA, DRDO, underscored the accomplishments of the RPSB cadres through their community projects and other community organization efforts which greatly contributed to the improvement of the peace and order situation in the target barangays as manifested by the absence of attacks and other acts of harassment perpetrated by the CTG.
PLTGEN ESCOBAL emphasized that the Campaign Plan TINABANGAY has resulted in a significant progress in facilitating the delivery of development packages to Barangay Development Program Targeted Areas. “Nag-start na yung activities nila and they are really hitting our objectives. It is understandable na meron tayong adjustments dahil nagsisimula palang ang ating mga teams, but nonetheless, they have already presented so many outputs yung mga cadres natin sa ground,” he said.
“Ito yung manifestation na nakikita natin na whole-of-the-nation approach that is taking shape and now very visible. We hope that the continuity of this effort with the support of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and other government agencies will also lead to the declaration of Region 10 into an insurgency-free region,” he added.
PBGEN LAWRENCE B COOP, Regional Director, PRO10 also said that the government is doing constant efforts in putting insurgency into its demise.
“Through E.O. 70, PRO10 became the catalyst of change and the agent of development through the intensified synergy of all government agencies. Let us continue nurturing our spirit of solidarity as we take actions in fulfilling the government’s ambition of a safer, peaceful and progressive society,” he said.
An open forum was thereafter conducted to address comments relative to the topics discussed. ###
