PLTGEN FILMORE B ESCOBAL, Commander, Area Police Command – Eastern Mindanao (APC-EM) visited PRO10 for the Summing-Up Activity of the R-PSB (Revitalized- Pulis sa Barangay) held at MPH, Camp Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City on January 20, 2023.

The R-PSB Summing-Up Activity aims to strengthen the implementation of the RPSB program at the target barangays by discussing with the representatives of the DILG, DEP ED, TESDA, DSWD, DOH, and the LGUs of Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon the gaps, issues and concerns relating to the implementation of the program.

During the activity, PCOL DANILDO B TUMANDA, DRDO, underscored the accomplishments of the RPSB cadres through their community projects and other community organization efforts which greatly contributed to the improvement of the peace and order situation in the target barangays as manifested by the absence of attacks and other acts of harassment perpetrated by the CTG.

PLTGEN ESCOBAL emphasized that the Campaign Plan TINABANGAY has resulted in a significant progress in facilitating the delivery of development packages to Barangay Development Program Targeted Areas. “Nag-start na yung activities nila and they are really hitting our objectives. It is understandable na meron tayong adjustments dahil nagsisimula palang ang ating mga teams, but nonetheless, they have already presented so many outputs yung mga cadres natin sa ground,” he said.

“Ito yung manifestation na nakikita natin na whole-of-the-nation approach that is taking shape and now very visible. We hope that the continuity of this effort with the support of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and other government agencies will also lead to the declaration of Region 10 into an insurgency-free region,” he added.

PBGEN LAWRENCE B COOP, Regional Director, PRO10 also said that the government is doing constant efforts in putting insurgency into its demise.

“Through E.O. 70, PRO10 became the catalyst of change and the agent of development through the intensified synergy of all government agencies. Let us continue nurturing our spirit of solidarity as we take actions in fulfilling the government’s ambition of a safer, peaceful and progressive society,” he said.

An open forum was thereafter conducted to address comments relative to the topics discussed. ###
