Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGen Rodolfo S Azurin Jr lauded the successful monthlong intensified campaign against wanted persons of Police Regional Office 10 (PRO 10) which resulted in the arrest of 405 wanted individuals.
According to report submitted by Police Brigadier General Lawrence B Coop, PRO 10 Regional Director, noted is the significant increase of 24% on the arrest of wanted persons compared from previous months recorded number of arrests.
PGen Azurin said that Northern Mindanao cops sustained positive results on their campaign against illegal drugs with 172 operations that resulted in the arrest of 212 drug personalities, confiscation of 644.844 grams of shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP4,384,939.20 and 97.880 grams of marijuana with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP11,745.60 and filed 159 cases in court.
Based on the report, 52 operations were also conducted on the campaign against loose firearms that resulted in the arrest of 332 personalities, confiscation/surrender/recovery of 69 firearms, 38 firearms were turned in for safekeeping, and 30 cases were filed in court.
“I highly commend the operational undertakings of our PRO10 personnel on our campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, loose firearms and most wanted persons that has achieved encouraging and fruitful results while remaining faithfully compliant to the requirements of due process, human rights and the rule of law”, PGen Azurin said.
Meanwhile, on the campaign against CTGs PRO 10 cops arrested three CTGs, 21 surrendered, seven firearms and one improvised explosive device recovered, and three encounters in the province of Misamis Occidental and Misamis Oriental that resulted in the death of two CTG members.
