To usher the nation toward change and development, the Police Regional Office 10 joined the Pre-Launching of Bagong Pilipinas Campaign on January 24, 2024, at the Parade Ground, Camp 1Lt Vicente G Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.

The Bagong Pilipinas campaign is the new brand of governance and leadership of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. that embodies the President’s Eight-Point Socio-Economic Agenda and Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028. It aims to further develop the economy, eradicate crimes, and unite the entire Philippines.

The Pre-Launching was simultaneously conducted among the PNP offices across the nation and one of the highlights during the event was the audio-visual presentation of the PNP Accomplishments in Support to Bagong Pilipinas— a culture of patriotism, discipline, and excellence.

Further, PBGEN RICARDO G LAYUG JR., Regional Director, PRO10, along with Dir. Candido P Bontongon Jr., Regional Director of NICA 10, led the ceremonial pinning of Bagong Pilipinas Pin as a symbol of solidarity and cooperation towards the desired Bagong Pilipinas.

In his message of support, Dir. Bontongan Jr. said that the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) extended its full and committed support to the endeavor of PNP and the President’s campaign.

Meanwhile, PBGEN LAYUG JR. emphasized that PRO10 remains steadfast in promoting good governance, eradicating criminalities, and ensuring public safety and peace and order in the region. He also stressed that the PNP is united and aligned with President’s directives.

“Ang PNP po ay naka-align sa direktiba ng ating Pangulo. Lahat po ng miyembro ng PNP ay nagkakaisa at makikita po natin sa buong bansa na kami po ay nakahanda anoman ang mga balak ng mga kriminal o nagbabalak ng masama sa ating bansa. Let us stand united in this endeavor, embracing innovation and collaboration, as we pave the way for a stronger and unified new brand of government that serves the interests of our nation and its people,” he said.

The kick-off of Bagong Pilipinas Rally will be held on January 28, 2024, at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila City and will start at 6:00 PM where President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is expected to attend. ###
