PRO 10 holds a seminar to intensify its advocacy on eliminating violence against women and children that aims to re-examine and re-assessing the policemen of Northern Mindanao. Police Regional Community Affairs and Development Division through the leadership of PBGEN RAFAEL PETICAN SANTIAGO JR., Regional Director conducted a seminar “ Men Opposed to Violence Against Women Everywhere or MOVE advocacy”
PLTCOL ELIAS DERAMA HAMPAC, OIC RCADD, graced the seminar with 35 participants today July 11, 2019 at Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp 1Lt Vicente Garcia Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.
MOVE was launched through the initiative of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW). Formerly the National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women on November 27, 2006 during the commemoration of the 18-Day Campaign to end VAW. It is an organization of principled men whose members have dedicated their time to be actively involved in eliminating all forms of violence against women (VAW).
The PRO 10 MOVE Seminar was intended to address issues affecting the program and formulated initiatives and plan of action geared toward the elimination of violence against women.
