Bike Tour for the SAF's Fallen 44

       On March 15, 2015, Police Regional Office 10 led by PSSUPT AURELIO C TRAMPE, JR., DRDO & PSSUPT ANTONIO A TAYLAN, JR., RCDS participated the Bike Tour together with the bikers from different PPO's, CPO's, Philippine Army, Government Agencies, Civilian Organizations and other bikers for the fund raising campaign in honour of the "Fallen 44".

       The theme "In the heat of battle, heroes emerge... REMEMBER the BRAVE 44!!"

            PRO 10 bikers, other Government Agencies and Region 10 Civilian bikers came together to show respect to the 44 PNP Special Action Force (SAF) Officers killed during the January 25 Mamasapano clash between the PNP and the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Maguindanao, southern part of the Philippines. What was supposed to be a mission to serve arrest warrants for high-ranking terrorists, Jemaah Islamiyah Malaysian bomb maker Zulkifli bin Hir known as “Marwan” and Abdulbasit Usman ended to the deaths of 44 SAF officers.

966 POLICE OFFICERS PROMOTED TO NEXT HIGHER RANK

         A total of 966 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO) and Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO) was promoted to the next higher rank on a simultaneous mass oath-taking and pinning of ranks last December 8 at Police Regional Office 10, Grandstand Parade Ground, Camp Alagar, Cagayan De Oro City.

         From a total of  966 vacancies at PRO 10.... 89 PCO and 877 PNCO applicants have passed the examination and interviews for the 2nd Level 2014 Regular Promotion Program and were found qualified for promotion effective November 30, 2014.

         The observance of mass promotion is to give honor and recognition to newly-promoted PNP uniformed personnel as well as to uplift the morale of the police force.
