Members of Police Regional Office 10 headed by PCSUPT LYNDEL A DESQUITADO, Acting Regional Director and the PNP Regional Screening Committee formally witnessed the reception of 425 police recruits who after completing the six (6) long months of tedious processing and validation of their mental, medical and physical fitness, were turned over to the Regional Training Center 10 to start their one (1) year training. One hundred-nine (109) of them represent the female recruits.

The President-in-waiting has recently asserted his strong interest to implement a major revamp in the organization which includes weeding out personnel involved in illegal drugs.
29,385 PNP checkpoints set across the region yielded 244 guns and filed 201 criminal charges against 172 arrested violators in court over the last five months since the nationwide gun ban began on January 10. 117 of the firearms confiscated are high-powered firearms while 123 are low-powered, Northern Mindanao Police Director Chief Superintendent Lyndel Desquitado revealed as the 120-days election period ended June 8.
