On August 10, 2017 at about 7:00 PM, personnel of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office led by PCI ARIEL I PONTILLAS, Chief CIU executed the Search Warrant No. 2017-033 for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) duly issued and signed by Executive Judge Dennis Alcantar, Regional Trial Court Branch 18, 10th Judicial Region, Cagayan de Oro City at the warehouse owned by JAY TAN, a Filipino-Chinese National at V. Castro St., Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. The said search warrant was based on information and intelligence monitoring conducted by the intelligence personnel.
On July 31 to August 3, 2017, after the Search Warrant conducted against Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr, Vice Mayor Nova Parojinog and Ricardo Parojinog by the PNP and CIDG personnel last July 30, 2017, PCI Joven Espinido, COP Ozamis CPS calls the Ozamiz City constituents to immediately surrender their Loose Firearms received from the Parojinog Family.
That at about 6:30 AM of August 2, 2017 (Wednesday) at the vicinity of (GC51NYJ 29188 45512) Purok 8, Barangay Kiburiao, Quezon, Bukidnon, joint personnel of Provincial Public Safety Company, BUKIDNON PPO led by PSI NOEL CANO and Philippine Army encountered more or less five (5) members of NPA by undetermined commander which lasted for five (5) minutes. The said encounter resulted to the arrest of two (2) NPA suspects identified as Ruel Cololot (Bomber/IED Expert) and Ramil Cololot carrying one (1) 57 RR were both members of the Guerilla Front 6 (GF6) and recovered the following:
On July 30, 2017 at about 2:30 a.m. at the different barangays of Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental, Joint effort of composite team of Regional CIDG 10, Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office and Ozamis City Police Station led by PCINSP JOVIE ESPENIDO, all under PRO 10 conducted police operations by virtue of six (6) Search Warrants, all in Ozamis City areas against Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr, Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog, Reynaldo Parojinog Jr and Board Member Ricardo Parojinog operation based on information and intelligence monitoring; That during the implementation of Search Warrant the operating police personnel encountered volley of fire from the security of the Parojinog which prompted the police personnel to retaliate fire; Initial investigation revealed that there were fifteen (15) who died on the Parojinog side during the encounter.
