Overweight Cops to lose 11,971 lbs in six months in PRO 10

On July 11, 2017, Police Regional Office 10 under the leadership of PCSUPT TIMOTEO GASCON PACLEB, Regional Director has embarked into an activity dubbed “Mission: Slim Possible,” which aims to engage all overweight police personnel into a physical activity that will cut their weights.

PRO 10 announced today that all overweight personnel who accepted the challenge have committed to lose the 11,971 pounds during the six-month program intended for the region.

PSSUPT FERDINAND A SIFUENTES, Regional Chief Directorial, led the launching of the program at the RHQ Grandstand where 50 RHQ police personnel have reported to be part of the program while other Police Provincial Office have also their list of personnel who accepted the challenge.

This weight lose challenge 2017 was conceptualized to ensure that all PNP personnel are mentally sound and physically fit to perform their functions and to build confidence in each PNP member by shaping them into well-rounded individuals through physical conditioning, healthy lifestyle, and proper diet.

The program is facilitated by the Regional Health Service, which conducts monthly weigh-in of all participants for monitoring purposes, and as part of the program, wellness lectures and zumba and taebo activities are held every Tuesday and Thursday.

Physical fitness is both an individual and organizational responsibility, and every PNP personnel should be physically fit to perform strenuous and rigorous police duties.
